Before I became a mom to two kiddos, I was a carpenter that did all interior finish work under a General Contractor. I tried to go back to work after my first, but pumping on a construction site was enough to make me pause and rethink how I wanted to structure my life.
In 2019, once I understood the needs of both my mother roll and my career, I decided to re-enter construction as a developer. Getting to structure Spruce and Douglas with a mix of acquired properties and client projects allows me to delegate and take accountability for all things work and home. It’s been equally challenging and empowering on both sides to be navigating the two but not a day goes by that I don’t feel the internal buzz of gratitude that I get the privilege of moving through my deep passion for my work, both in building homes and a life for my kids and I.
So far with Spruce and Douglas I have gained knowledge in single family home new construction, design and management of full gut restorative remodels, and (single handed!) condo renovations. Most recently I have expanded to offer my knowledge and management skills to home owners through General Contracting.
In all things I do, there is a baseline intention of passion and care. Home is one of the most stabilizing factors in a humans life, so I am dedicated to getting you settled with minimal disruption as soon as possible.
