4128 North Meade Avenue

Little Meade was an abandoned 600 square foot home hiding behind a mountain of overgrown bushes on the back of an extra large lot. It had been broken into repeatedly, vandalized, deteriorated from the inside out and passed around from investor to investor that neglected it. When I came across it, I desperately wanted to save it, but I bought it knowing that I'd have to tear it down. I cried the morning of demo day but rapidly saw it breathe life again as it gave out under the force of the machinery. The home we were building was going to be large so I designed it for multi-generational living. I tried to keep it modest and cohesive in design with the neighboring homes while bringing design "wows" to the interior.
